Lesser toe deformities, such as hammer toes, claw toes, or mallet toes, involve abnormal bending or positioning of the smaller toes. These deformities are often caused by muscle imbalances, wearing tight shoes, or foot injuries. They can lead to pain, difficulty walking, and the development of corns or calluses due to friction with footwear. Over time, these deformities can become rigid, making it hard to straighten the toes without intervention. Treatment typically focuses on relieving pain and correcting the deformity to improve foot function.
