Conditions

Forefoot

Hallux Valgus (Bunion)

Hallux valgus, commonly known as a bunion, is a deformity where the big toe leans toward the other toes, creating a prominent bump on the side of the foot.

Bunionette (Tailor’s Bunion)

A bunionette is a painful, bony bump that forms on the outside of the foot near the little toe.

Big toe (MTP-I) Arthritis

This condition affects the joint at the base of the big toe, known as the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint.

Morton Neuroma

Morton’s neuroma is a painful condition that affects the nerves between the toes, most commonly between the third and fourth toes.

Lesser Toe Deformities

Lesser toe deformities, such as hammer toes, claw toes, or mallet toes, involve abnormal bending or positioning of the smaller toes.

Metatarsalgia

Metatarsalgia refers to pain and inflammation in the ball of the foot, often due to excessive pressure on the metatarsal bones.

Fracture

A forefoot fracture is a break in one of the bones in the front of the foot, often caused by trauma or overuse.

Midfoot

Flatfoot (Deformity)

Flatfoot occurs when the arch of the foot collapses, causing the
foot to flatten against the ground.

Midfoot Arthritis

Midfoot arthritis results from the breakdown of cartilage in the
joints of the middle part of the foot.

Lisfranc Injury

A Lisfranc injury affects the ligaments and bones of the midfoot, caused by trauma, such as twisting the foot or a heavy object falling on it.

Fracture

A fracture in the midfoot involves a break in one of the bones located in
the middle of the foot, usually caused by trauma or repetitive stress.

Hindfoot

Flatfoot

Hindfoot flatfoot occurs when the arch of the foot collapses, causing the hindfoot to roll inward and the heel outward.

Ankle Instability

Ankle instability occurs when the ligaments that support the ankle
become weakened or damaged, often after repeated ankle sprains.

Hindfoot Deformity

Hindfoot deformities involve abnormal alignment or shape of the bones in the back part of the foot, leading to pain, instability, and difficulty walking.

Pediatric Flatfoot

Pediatric flatfoot is a common condition in children where the arch of the foot does not develop properly, causing the entire foot to touch the groundwhen standing.

Ankle Arthritis

Ankle arthritis develops when the cartilage in the ankle joint wears
away, leading to pain, swelling, and stiffness.

Fracture

A fracture in the hindfoot involves a break in one of the bones in the back part of the foot, often resulting from trauma such as falls, sports injuries, or accidents.

Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD)

Osteochondritis dissecans is a condition in which a small piece of cartilage and underlying bone becomes loose within the ankle joint, usually due to a lack of blood supply.

Subtalar Joint Arthritis

This type of arthritis affects the subtalar joint, located just below the ankle, which is responsible for side-to-side foot movement.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that causes heel pain, often
most noticeable in the morning or after long periods of rest.

Achilles Tendinopathy (Midportion and Insertional)

Haglund’s Deformity

Haglund’s deformity is a bony enlargement that forms on the back of the heel, near where the Achilles tendon attaches to the heel bone.

Midportion Achilles Tendinopathy

Midportion Achilles tendinopathy refers to degeneration and inflammation in the middle portion of the Achilles tendon, above  the tendon attachment.

Insertional Achilles Tendinopathy

Insertional Achilles tendinopathy affects the lower part of the Achilles tendon, where it attaches to the heel bone.

Leg

Achilles rupture, acute and chronic

An Achilles tendon rupture is a tear in the tendon that connects the calf muscles to the heel bone.

Lower leg deformity

Lower leg deformities involve abnormal alignment of the bones in the leg, which can cause pain, difficulty walking, and problems with posture and balance.
