Osteochondritis Dissecans Surgery

Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) is a condition in which a fragment of bone and cartilage becomes loose in the ankle joint. Surgery to treat OCD typically involves arthroscopic removing and microfracturing the surface or reattaching the loose fragment, depending on its size and condition. The goal of the surgery is to restore the smooth surface of the joint and prevent further damage, relieving pain and improving ankle function.
