Fracture
A fracture in the hindfoot involves a break in one of the bones in the back part of the foot, often resulting from trauma such as falls, sports injuries, or accidents. Symptoms include severe pain, swelling, bruising, and difficulty walking. If the bones are displaced, there may be a visible deformity. Hindfoot fractures are serious injuries that require prompt treatment to avoid long-term complications. Depending on the type of fracture, treatment may involve immobilization in a cast or surgical repair to realign and stabilize the bones.
